UPVIVRE is a reflection of my personal style. I love creating edits and discovering new beauty products and fashion pieces. I closely follow new trends but usually opt for staples and pieces easy to put together. I find inspiration in fashion shows, street style, and places that I visit.
Simple yet elevated - this is how I would describe my personal style. I love mixing designer investment staples with more affordable pieces. This high-low style of dressing suites me the most as I can mix and match high quality accessories and more trendy pieces that complement each other. Even when I buy more affordable clothing, I always look for quality and durability.
You don't need to spend a lot of money in order to have a solid base of clothing and accessories that can be mixed and matched and worn for many years. That is why I think that staple pieces are a key when building a good wardrobe. As seasons change, I like to do an overview of my closet by going over my staple pieces and putting aside things I don’t wear any longer. Afterwards I make a list of pieces that I would like to get. Each season I like to add a couple of good quality pieces while avoiding buying strictly trendy clothing that I wont use next year. „Fashion fades, but your style stays forever,” is one of my favorite quotes by YSL.
Falling strictly for trends could be deceiving. You might end up with a closet filled with clothes but really have nothing to wear. It is ok to buy pieces that are currently in, but they must go with your style. Opting for pieces that are „in” and are timeless is the best option. Choosing quality over quantity is always smart when it comes to maintaining a smart wardrobe.
High-low style means choosing high-end pieces and wearing it with more basic, affordable clothing. Splurging and investing in designer and quality accessories is great since you can elevate your daily outfits with a nice pair of sunglasses, a belt, or a scarf. A great quality coat that you invest in, may serve you for the years to come.
